Juvenile Green Woodpecker

I usually fill the holes in the birch stump with a fat/crushed peanut mix for the Great Spotted Woodpeckers that often visit at this time of year. On this occasion I didn't do so and I'm not sure if this juvenile has found a tasty morsel from a previous day (though this is not a food they are usually interested in) or whether there was something tasty in the ant line in the hole. Anyway, photographing the bird with its long tongue out makes for a different image.
