Welcome

My main photographic interest is Nature, or more specifically Wildlife. I started mainly photographing birds, but my naturalist interests have widened and I regard myself as a Naturalist-Photographer, although I do not claim to be expert in either field. I will look for and try to photograph birds and mammals and especially in the Summer months, invertebrates. I am happy to leave my camera behind sometimes and just watch and listen. Although I sometimes travel abroad to photograph wildlife, I still love watching wildlife in my part of the world and elsewhere in the UK. Wildlife photography can be frustrating and rewarding in equal measure. It is the witnessing of real wildlife encounters that is so fascinating and I love finding something or watching some behaviour that is new to me, and then trying to learn about it.
