Waxwings are hugely approachable little birds and will be quite unconcerned by human presence. They are often found in urban and suburban environments - the background here is a row of houses and they were devouring berries in the grounds of a car wash in town. Supermarket car parks, housing estates with lots of red berry bushes and amenity areas can attract these birds.
